If you prefer a shortcut for quick mental estimates, here is a fast approximation: double the Celsius number and add 30 to get a rough Fahrenheit estimate. It is not exact, but it is close enough for a quick check. For example, 37 degrees Celsius doubled is 74, plus 30 gives 104, while the actual conversion is 98.6. The shortcut works better at lower temperatures.
